It provides protection against organic gases and vapors with a boiling point above 65°C (e.g., benzene, xylene, toluene, gasoline, kerosene, halogenated hydrocarbons, aniline, ketones, tetraethyllead, nitro compounds of benzene and its homologues); inorganic gases and vapors (e.g., chlorine, fluorine, bromine, hydrogen sulfide, arsine, phosphine; excluding carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide); acid gases and vapors (e.g., sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen bromide, hydrogen fluoride, vapors of sulfuric, acetic, formic, nitric, and phosphoric acids), ammonia and its organic derivative, particulates (dust, smoke, mist).
